Tiger Woods Has A Brand New Bag - Tiger debuts premium golf bag at Buick Invitational

La Jolla, Calif. – As Tiger Woods gears up for his 2006 PGA Tour season starting this week at the Buick Invitational in La Jolla, Calif., he’ll sport the ultimate golf accessory – an all-new, custom-designed bag. Buick unveiled the new golf bag today.

The new blue-and-silver golf bag features Tiger’s name, signature and the Buick logo in black embroidery. Buick officials worked closely with Tiger and Nike, who manufactured the bag, to select the color scheme, fabrics, and placement of the various zippers and compartments. Tiger will use the new bag for all tournaments moving forward.

“Tiger’s new golf bag parallels the premium attributes of our new Buick products, particularly the new Lucerne luxury sedan,” said Buick Golf Manager Larry Peck. “Both have the style, grace, quality and elegance you’d expect only from Buick.”

Tiger retired his current bag, which he has used since 2000. His original bag was black, white and red with gold embroidery and has a storied past – Tiger won 31 PGA tour events, was a top-10 finisher 78 times, and earned $44.5 million with this bag. In addition, he recorded six international wins, competed in three President’s Cups and won four Buicks, one for each Buick tournament win.

What’s in the bag? Here’s a look at the clubs he used to win the 2005 Dunlop Phoenix Open, Nov. 18-22, at the Phoenix Country Club Miyazaki, Japan, last November.
